After grad school, I felt a desire to establish a connection with my new community. Driven by the desire to understand and engage with the intricate layers of Atlanta’s vibrant social and cultural landscape I chose to set up backdrops in neighborhoods undergoing rapid transformation. I embarked on heartfelt dialogues with the hardworking residents, the spirited youth, and the resilient homeless population. These encounters revealed the intricate interplay of divisions within the city, juxtaposed with the resilient bonds and hope for unity. My ongoing work is a tribute to the multifaceted essence of Atlanta, capturing the essence of its diverse heritage and the enduring strength of its communities.
