Solo Exhibit opens 1/12/26

I’m excited to personally announce that Echoes of Resilience, my solo photography and mixed-media exhibition, presented in collaboration with Wesleyan College is opening this month!

Make it stand out

This exhibition brings together three bodies of work that reflect my passion for socio-political dialogue, inclusion, and challenging stigma through visual storytelling. The show marks the debut of Afronauts, a documentary-rooted series exploring migration and belonging; features America’s Backbone, a fan-favorite body of work reimagining national symbols through African American women; and includes Invisible to Others, my well-known series on the visually impaired, back in circulation for those who may have missed it.

522 Cherry Street, Macon, GA
Gallery Hours:

Recap from the Artist Talk:

If you couldn’t be in the room, this is your invitation in. In this recorded artist talk on youtube, photographer and mixed media artist ELEY shares the deeper framework behind Echoes of Resilience, her solo exhibition on view January 12 – February 27, 2026 at the Leadership Lab in downtown Macon, GA. More than a walkthrough, this conversation explores resilience as a creative force — shaped by memory, migration, perception, and presence ELEY reflects on three interconnected bodies of work: • Invisible to Others — expanding photography beyond sight through touch, sound, light, and Braille, challenging how we define visibility • America’s Backbone — recontextualizing national iconography through the bodies of Black women, placing presence where absence once lived • Afronauts — field notes from modern explorers who move beyond familiarity in search of opportunity and belonging, guided by vision rather than permission Rooted in the historic landscape of Macon, this talk speaks to expanded history, triumphant migration, and inclusive realities — inviting viewers to reconsider what it means to be seen, understood, and remembered.
